Introduction
Shawn Packard for State Representative District 64 (“the Campaign,” “we,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect and use information provided through this website and related campaign communications. It should be read with our Form Information notice and Text Message Terms.
Information We Collect
The contact form collects your name, email address, message, and any optional phone number you enter. If you choose the separate text-message checkbox, the form also records that opt-in request. The email-updates form collects your name, email address, and request for campaign email updates. If you interact with the Campaign through events or volunteer activities outside this site, the Campaign may request other information needed for those activities.
Our website hosting and form-delivery providers may also process technical information, such as browser or device details, pages requested, referral information, and information needed for security and spam prevention.
How We Use and Share Information
We may use information to respond to you, provide requested campaign updates, record your text-message choice, coordinate campaign activities, maintain records, and meet applicable legal obligations. We may use service providers working on our behalf for website hosting, form delivery, and message delivery.
Text Messaging
If you provide a mobile number and separately opt in, the Campaign may send recurring texts about updates, events, volunteering, fundraising, and voting. Message frequency may vary; message and data rates may apply. If you receive campaign texts, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. We will not sell or share mobile information or text-message opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Providers needed to deliver our messages may process that information on our behalf. This website does not itself send texts.
Form Delivery and Retention
Website forms are handled by FormSubmit for forwarding to ShawnPackardfor64@gmail.com. FormSubmit says it retains submissions for up to 30 days. The website shows an inline confirmation when FormSubmit accepts a request. Copies received in the Campaign inbox may remain there. Please do not send payment-card details, government identifiers, or other sensitive information through these forms.
Contributions
The Donate page collects your contribution amount, full name, address, occupation, employer or principal place of business, phone number, and email address. This donor information is sent to the Campaign's Cloudflare-hosted service and stored in its campaign database for contribution records. The amount, name, address, phone number, and email address are also provided to Stripe to process the contribution. Card and other payment details are entered into Stripe's secure payment fields and do not pass through the Campaign website or database. The Campaign checks the checkout session with Stripe. After Stripe confirms a paid contribution, the Campaign sends the donor details, amount, and Stripe session reference through FormSubmit to ShawnPackardfor64@gmail.com for campaign records; payment-card details are never included. FormSubmit says it retains submissions for up to 30 days, and copies received in the Campaign inbox may remain there. Stripe's handling of information is also described in its Privacy Policy. Do not send payment-card details by email or through a website contact form.
